Delaware River Valley In Autumn signed by Rudolpho Novelli.
This bright impressionist fall view of the Delaware River valley is oil on canvas and measures 24 inches tall by 30 inches wide.
This lovely work was likely painted in the 1930's and measures 32 inches tall by 38 inches wide in the frame.
Rudolpho Novelli was born in 1879 in Italy and later moved to New York around 1900, working mainly in the United States.
Although Novelli worked in both oil and gouache and painted cityscapes and views, he was most noted during his lifetime for his floral studies and still lifes.
It appears that Novelli studied with the artist, Dewitt Clinton Peters (1865-1948).
He was employed as an illustrator for Funk and Wagnalls Co., New York City.
Novelli exhibited with and became a member of the Salons of America and the Society of Independent Artists.
